The Born By Ted Baker Gig Race Kicks Off

The Born By Ted Baker Gig race kicked off in style yesterday lunch time with a free gig by the Laurel Collective.

Hailing from Wales, England Italy and Nigeria, The Laurel Collective have already gained support from the likes of Steve Lamacq and Jon Kennedy.

The sonic upstarts hailed in the race with a throbbing performance of organic electronics, skewed psych-pop, soulful rhythms and surging choruses.

The Gig race, set up to celebrate the launch of the Born By Ted Baker collection, embodies the belief that we should all ‘seize the everyday’ Applicants had to register if they thought they had what it took to be the ultimate gig goer.

The gig racers were then selected from applicants by a judging panel including Master Shortie, Puregroove Records owner  Simon Singleton and Gigwise's editor Scott Colothan.

The selected contestants now have two weeks to race around the country and attend as many gigs as they can in the hope of winning the coveted prize of £1000 of Born by Ted Baker clothing and 2 tickets to the sold out Bestival Festival.

You can follow their exploits on Gigwise or at www.bornbytedbaker.com.

As well as hosting the Gig Race, www.bornbytedbaker.com will update every 24 hours bringing you the freshest links, offers and content that will not be archived.
