Council chiefs fear that artists may be deterred from playing the arena if similar incidents happens again.
The two parties will also be discussing security measures at the venue during the meeting, reports the BBC.
Morrissey stormed off just six minutes into his set at the Echo Arena after being hit by the missile and refused to return. Promoters SJM concerts were forced to give ticket-holders refunds to the show.
Earlier today it was confirmed that promoters are hoping to restage the concert at a later date.
