Green Day are to become the latest band to receive their own Rock Band video game title.
Green Day: Rock Band, which is due to go on sale in 2010, was unveiled by game-maker Harmonix on Saturday.
Like previous incarnations of the game, it will allow users the chance to play as the band's stars in venues that were key to their success.
"We've worked with the Rock Band team in the past year to enable our fans to play tracks from '21st Century Breakdown', and we're excited to now be working on a game spanning our entire career," singer Billie Joe Armstrong said.
"We want people to fire this up, choose their favourite Green Day tracks and play along with us as Rock Band avatars so they can feel what it's like to perform on stage as Green Day."
The game will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Wii from next year.
It will follow in the foot-steps of The Beatles: Rock Band, which was unveiled earlier this year.
