Rage Against The Machine For Christmas No.1 Facebook group founder Jon Morter has issued a rallying call urging people to download the track.

Despite 'Killing In The Name' being ahead of X Factor in the midweek charts, Joe McElderry's 'The Climb' will receive a massive boost when physical copies hit the shelves on Wednesday (December 16).

In a statement to Gigwise, Jon, who started the group with his wife Tracy, said: “Keep spreading the word, but above all make sure you BUY THE TRACK and your friends BUY THE TRACK!!!

“None of us may get another opportunity like this again.... WE CAN DO THIS as we're currently midweek chart No.1.”

Remember supporters of the Rage Against The Machine campaign can donate to Shelter HERE. So far an impressive £30,000 has been raised for the charity helping the homeless.
