The Wombles are in talks to play this summer's Glastonbury festival in Somerset, it's been reported.
The fictional 1970s children's TV icons are understood to be eyeing up a Sunday afternoon slot on the Pyramid stage.
In previous years, the coveted position on the bill has featured performances from Rolf Harris, Status Quo and Shirely Bassey.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Discussions have been opened about The Wombles playing Glastonbury.
"They're certainly keen to be there."
The Wombles' environmental motto - “Make good use of bad rubbish” - which was considered avant-garde during their heyday, is also likely to strike a chord with organisers.
The 40th anniversary of the Glastonbury festival is scheduled to take place at Worthy Farm from June 23-27.
