Florence Welch: 'I Punched An Ex Boyfriend In The Face'

Florence Welch has confessed to punching an ex-boyfriend in the face on Valentine's Day.

The Florence & The Machine star says the incident happened a night after they split up when the said boyfriend refused to leave her house.

“I did punch an ex-boyfriend once,” the 23-year-old said. “It was kind of funny, it was on Valentine’s Day.

“He came to my house in the middle of the night after we had broken up and started screaming.

“I probably should have just stayed inside but I was furious with him for coming to my house. And then he wouldn’t leave so I punched him in the face.”

Elsewhere in the Daily Star interview, Welch insisted that she doesn't consider herself famous yet.

"It is amazing to me that the album has reached so many people," she told the Daily Star.

"But I don't really get recognised. I think I'm at the level of fame where people know my album, they know me, but I'm not like, famous.

"Usually it's girls who look like me who stop me. There's quite a lot of red-headed girls come to my gigs."
