- More Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is celebrating her 24th birthday with a UK number one single.
The singer – real name Stefani Germanotta – has held on to the top spot for a second week with her Beyoncé collaboration 'Telephone', according to the Official Charts Company.
The track has received a huge sales boost thanks to the controversial Jonas Akerlund directed promo video which has attracted over 10million YouTube views in three weeks.
However, it's not so good news for Gaga's album 'The Fame Monster' which has slipped from the top spot and replaced by Boyzone's 'Brother'.
The boy band's fifth number one album enjoyed a 60% sales increase week-on-week.
Justin Bieber's 'My World', Laura Marling's acclaimed second album 'I Speak Because I Can' and Goldfrapp's 'Head First' are at three, four and five respectively.
There is only one new entry inside the single chart top ten; Young Money’s 'Bedrock' featuring Lloyd at number nine, while Boyzone's 'Gave It All Away' re-enters at ten.
Gigwise has marked Lady Gaga's 24th birthday with a through the years look at the singer from an unknown Stefani Germanotta to a pop megastar.
