Lady Gaga Writing Third Album During The Monster Ball Tour

Lady Gaga has confirmed that she's in the midst of working on her third studio album.

The 23-year-old pop star – real name Stefani Germanotta – says she's been writing songs in-between dates on The Monster Ball tour and has the “core” of it ready.

Modest, Gaga is even promising that it will be her finest work to date.

"I'm working on it now and I've already written the core of it,” she told Sydney's 2DayFM. “So I'm just continuing to travel around the world and make something really great."

“It's certainly my best work to date."
