Thom Yorke's friend, the Green Party candidate Tony Juniper, has failed to be elected as an MP in Cambridge in the UK General Election.
The Radiohead singer performed a one-off show at the Cambridge Corn Exchange in February to help fund Juniper's campaign to become the first Green Party Member of Parliament.
Despite the funding from Yorke's gig, Liberal Democrat MP Julian Huppert held onto his Cambridge seat with 19,621 votes.
Tony Juniper came fourth behind the Conservatives' Nick Hillman and Labour's Daniel Zeichner with just 3,804 votes – 7.6% of the 50,130 strong turnout.
Despite Juniper's loss, the Green Party did win their first seat in the Commons in Brighton.
Party leader Caroline Lucas secured 16,238 votes following a 8.4% swing from Labour to Green.
