- More Lady Gaga
The record label behind Lady Gaga has signed an order of Benedictine nuns.
The enclosed order, based near Avignon, beat more than 70 other convents to claim an album deal with Decca Records.
The offshoot of Universal will distribute the nun's debut LP of Gregorian chants in November.
Dickon Stainer, chief of Decca Records, revealed that the order had to sign their deal through a grill.
“I passed the contract through the grill, they signed it and passed it back,” he said in a statement.
The enclosed order is not the first unusual signing to the record label this year.
In March, the Fisherman's Friends, a group of Cornish sailors, sealed a deal with Universal.
