The Drums Guitarist Adam Kessler Quits Band

The Drums guitarist Adam Kessler has quit the band, it’s been announced.

In a statement, remaining members Jonathan Pierce, Jacob Graham and Connor Hanwick said they were “devastated”.

“Jonny, Jacob and Connor are devastated and are keeping to themselves and with friends at this time.,” a statement on The Drums’ official website said.

“Thank you for all of the support, it means a lot,” they added.

Kessler’s departure comes amid the band’s US tour with Surfer Blood. The Drums are also scheduled to the UK and Ireland this winter.

In an interview with Gigwise last month, Kessler gave no indication of any plan to quit the group and spoke about recording a second album.
