Dr Dre has revealed that his recent performances with Jay-Z and Eminem have inspired him to work harder on his next studio album, 'Detox'.
The rapper and producer returned to the stage last month for two special appearances at the hip-hop star's joint Home From Home dates.
Dr Dre said fans' reaction at the shows proved people still wanted his next LP, which is the long-awaited follow-up to his 1999 album, '2001'.
"Being on the stage with Eminem and Jay-Z was one of the most incredible feelings I've felt in a long time,” he told MTV News.
“It inspired me, it made me want to hurry up and get back in the studio andput more effort and more work into my own project.”
Dr Dre added: "The response from the people out there was just incredible.
“It let me know that I still got love out there and I'm not wasting my time in the studio with what I'm doing, with the music or with all the Beats product that we're putting out."
The producer acknowledged the delay for 'Detox' at the gigs in Detroit last month, telling the crowd: “I'm coming.”
A final release date has yet to be set for the album.
