Liam Gallagher's Back: Beady Eye, 'Bring The Light' - Review

Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher's first band since Oasis' split, have released their first single today – and Gigwise has the first review.

'Bring The Light', which features on the group's as-yet-untitled debut album, reunites Gallagher with former Oasis bandmates Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock.

Gigwise review:

"After a quick listen it is clear that Beady Eye have certainly taken a step away from the heavy guitar anthems of Oasis, with a 60s inspired piano-led feel. Liam certainly could have taken the easy route and stayed with the tried and tested sound of Oasis that worked so well. 'Bring The Light' offers a positive look of things to come from the band, but whether the crafted song writing skills of brother Noel will leave a gaping hole, only time will tell."

'Bring The Light' can be heard below. Beady Eye's new album has been produced by Steve Lillywhite and is due to be released in the new year.

  • This is an AWESOME song. Just shows what music has been missing since Oasis split. I can't wait to hear the album.

  • Anyone who thinks this is original should listen to The Beatles' 'Back In The USSR'.

  • Lee and Ben are spot on, however that's not to say it isn't a somewhat enjoyable little ditty!
