Cheryl Cole has come under fire over her appearance in the video for Nicki Minaj’s new single ‘Check It Out’.
The video for the song, which also features Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, was originally released in September.
But a new version starring a superimposed Cole was released on Thursday (November 11) and has been described as “cheesy” by critics.
It shows Cole dancing and singing along to the song, which samples the 1979 hit 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles.
Earlier this month, tabloid reports claimed the Girls Aloud star was finalising a record deal in the US.
‘Check It Out’ is taken from Minaj’s forthcoming album ‘Pink Friday’, due out on November 22. The album also includes Rihanna, Drake and Eminem.
