X Factor viewers have been left divided over Rihanna and Christina Aguilera’s performances on the programme last weekend.

More than 2000 people have complained to TV regulator Ofcom about both singer’s routines, which featured skimpy outfits.

And many viewers have contacted Gigwise via our comments section to express an opinion about the performances.

One viewer, Marilyn, branded the pair “porn celebs” and said they were “really sick”.

Naomi added: “It's plain out of order, this should not be aloud, especially not on a family show. Who do those sick women think they are?”

But many other music fans have highlighted how only 2000 people have complained when the show was watched by over fifteen million.

Pat said many of the complaints had come from people with “plenty of time on your hands with nothing better to do”.

And Amanda said: “For crying out loud! What the hell was wrong with their routines! People have to realise its almost 2011 not 1911! People have to stop being so prude!”

At present, Ofcom has yet to launch an investigation into the complaints.

Last weekend’s X Factor saw Matt Cardle crowned the winner. He is expected to top the Christimas singles chart.
