Natalie Mendoza, one of the leading actresses in the new Spider-Man musical, has quit the production, according to reports.
The actress, who plays Arachne, suffered a concussion during one of the early preview performances.
Her reported departure could not be confirmed by a spokesman for the Broadway production, according to Reuters.
The reports are the latest hurdle for Spider-Man: Turn of The Dark, which has been struck by a number of financial and technical woes.
Earlier this month, a stuntman was injured after falling 30ft when a harness failed.
The musical at the Foxwoods Theatre features a score by U2 stars Bono and The Edge. It is due to open officially in February 2011.
