Chuck Berry had to cut short his performance in Chicago after collapsing on stage, it has been reported.
The rock n roll legend, whose hits include J'ohnny B Goode' and 'Roll Over Beethoven', was unable to continue his gig on Saturday (January 1) at the Chicago Congress Theater after collapsing on stage, the Chicago Sun Times reports.
The 84-year-old slumped over his keyboard for a few minutes before being helped off stage. Berry returned to play 20 minutes later but told fans he had no strength to continue.
The singer is said to be fine after receiving medical attention.
Berry had earlier performed two New Year's Eve shows at B.B. King’s Blues Club and Grill in New York City.
