Swap festival  joins established songwriters with local talent and unsigned acts for 3 days in Manchester city centre.

Shane MacGowan has headed the bill alongside Mancunian grown Sam Hammond.

Throughout the festival there will be the chance to meet some of the artists in the form of daily masterclasses. These will involve song writing and performance. Songwriters are encouraged to book places in advance to ensure they get full benefit from the workshops.

On the third day, four stages will be set up around The Triangle shopping centre, on which acts will play throughout the day. These stages are free to visit (hurrah!).
