Beyonce has confirmed that she will be headlining this year's Glastonbury festival and said she was “pumped” to be attending the event.
On Tuesday (February 8), it was rumoured the singer would top the bill at the festival alongside Coldplay and U2.
Organisers refused to comment on the report, but Beyonce has now confirmed her appearance in a statement issued to Billboard.
"This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there,” she said.
“Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend. I'm pumped just thinking about that huge audience and soaking up their energy."
In 2007, Beyonce was present when her husband Jay-Z headlined the festival.
