Adele is on course to reclaim the number one spot from the Foo Fighters on the UK album chart this weekend.
The singer's chart reign ended last weekend when the Foo Fighters' 'Wasting Light' debuted at number one on the UK album chart.
Her album '21' has already gained 9,000 sales over the Foo Fighters, reports Music Week.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Adele's album now boasts the most consecutive weeks at number one for a solo artist's studio album in chart history.
21 has now sold over two million copies since its release in January, making it the first album released in the first quarter of the year to have such success.
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has revealed that the band have hidden pieces of the original master tape for their new album 'Wasting Light' inside CD copies of the record.
