Beyonce, Jay-Z 'Booed' At MET Costume Institute Gala 2011

Beyonce and Jay-Z were booed by photographers as they arrived at the MET Costume Institute Gala in New York last night (May 2).

The couple are reported to have upset photographers when they failed to pose for photographers, despite both wearing eye-catching outfits.

New York Magazine's fashion blog The Cut wrote on Twitter: “OMG Beyonce and Jay-Z are being BOOED at the #MetGala for not posing for pictures! Yes, boo!”

The blog added that Beyonce's dress was “so tight” she struggled to walk up stairs in the event.

Beyonce and Jay-Z were among a host of music stars who attended the annual gala in New York, which this year recognised the late British fashion designer, Alexander McQueen, who died last year.

Rolling Stones' frontman Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas and Madonna also attended.
