Miley Cyrus Slammed For Nirvana 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' Cover

Miley Cyrus has been slammed by fans for her recent cover of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.

The singer performed the cover as a dedication to her brother at her gig on Friday night (April 29).

Cyrus told the audience: ''I have a lot of fans come up and tell me that I inspire them and make them want to follow their dreams, and so for this tour I want to be able to do the music that inspired me and made me want to be here on this stage tonight.''

''It’s hard being on the road because you miss your family back home and this song is something I always sing with my little brother…so this song is also for him.''

Fans of Nirvana have now criticised Cyrus' performance on YouTube.

Swimnew wrote: ''this is the saddest video ever, she represents EVERYTHING that Kurt was against corporatism in the music business.''

Whilst Jono23 added: ''she is really pushing her luck with this one. She is pissing a LOT of people off by doing this.''
