Michael Jackson 'Escaped 9/11 On Road Trip With Elizabeth Taylor And Marlon Brando

Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando went on a road trip across the USA in the aftermath of 9/11.

Tim Mendelson, Taylor's former personal assistant, revealed details about the supposed journey in an interview with Vanity Fair.

It came about after Jackson invited Taylor and Brando to watch him perform at New York's Madison Square Garden in September 2001.

After the attacks on the World Trade Centre, the trio were stranded in New York due to the grounding of all internal flights.

Consequently, Mendelson claims they hired a rental car to get back to the West Coast – where they all lived – and drove more than 500 miles to Ohio.

In his profile of Taylor's former PA, Vanity Fair reporter Sam Kashner writes that Brando “allegedly annoyed his colleagues by stopping at every KFC and Burger King they passed along the highway”.

But another aide for Taylor has claimed that she never took part in the trip. The trio have all since died.
