Beyonce: Adele, Florence And The Machine Inspired New Album '4'

Beyonce has said that her new album ‘4’ has been inspired by Adele and Florence And The Machine.

The singer also said that Prince and The Jackson Five had influenced the record, which is due out on June 27.

She told Billboard magazine the album "started off being inspired by Fela Kuti”.

"I also found a lot of inspiration in 90s R&B, Earth Wind & Fire, DeBarge, Lionel Richie, Teenie Marie… I listened to a lot of Jackson Five and New Edition, but also Adele, Florence And The Machine, and Prince,” she said.

"Add in my hip-hop influences, and you can hear how broad it is."

‘4’ is Beyonce’s fourth studio album and she recently revealed that the title had been inspired by her fans.
