Beyonce: New Album '4' Leak Not What I Wanted

Beyonce has opened up about the recent online leak of her new album '4'.

The singer's anticipated follow-up to 2008's 'I Am...Sasha Fierce' appeared online yesterday (June 8), three weeks before its scheduled release on June 27.

Beyonce spoke about the leak via her Facebook page yesterday: ''My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans. When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat."

She added: ''I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs."

As previously reported on Gigwise, Beyonce is currently in the UK preparing for her headline appearance at the Glastonbury festival later this month.
