Dr Dre In The 'Final Stretch' Of Completing 'Detox'

Dr Dre is said to be in the ‘final stretch’ of completing his new album ‘Detox’.

The long-awaited follow-up to 1999's '2001' was originally due out last year but has been hit by a series of delays and is yet to be given an official release date.

DJ Khalil, who produced Dre Dre’s single ‘Kush’, has now revealed that the album is nearly complete.

"Dre's album is definitely the most important thing right now, because he is definitely in the final stretch," DJ Khalil told Billboard.

He added: "He has the record going, but I'm sure he thinks there are pieces missing. Until he finds those pieces, maybe he's not comfortable putting it out yet.

"It's definitely a West Coast sound, more futuristic West Coast sound, at least from what I've turned in."

Singles 'Die Hard', 'Kush' and 'I Need A Doctor', which also featured Eminem, were released earlier this year.
