Coldplay were watched by celebrities including Beyonce and Jay-Z as they headlined the second day of this year’s Glastonbury Festival tonight (June 25).

The band, fronted by Chris Martin, delighted fans with a hit filled set, which included the new songs ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ and ‘Major Minus’.

“Thank you for having us and thanks for coming to see us,” Martin told the crowd on the Pyramid Stage.

“Hope we exceed your expectations and sorry for playing some new songs - some day they will be your favourites.”

Also watched by Martin’s wife, Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow and actor Simon Pegg, Coldplay rattled through a set that featured an impressive stage and lights show.

The songs included ‘The Scientist’, ‘Shiver’ and ‘Violet Hill’.
