Mark Hoppus has admitted that he was surprised at how well Blink-182's new single 'Up All Night' has been received.
Blink-182's new single 'Up All Night’ was released online Friday (July 15) and is the first new material since they reunited in 2009 for a reunion tour, which is due to go on through 2012.
Blink-182, 'Up All Night': Review
''Up All Night' was the first song that we started writing when the band got back together,'' Hoppus told MTV.
He added: "I'm so glad to finally have new music out, and cannot believe how well it has been received," he wrote. "[Our website] crashed out several times, my Google-plus account crashed out twice, and blink-182 was a top trending topic worldwide. Totally amazing. Now, I can't wait for the album itself to be released."
The band are set to embark on a US tour with My Chemical Romance later this summer and return to the UK and Ireland next year for a full arena jaunt.
