The 2011 Mercury Prize nominations were announced in London today (July 19), during a ceremony that also saw two ot them perform.
Adele, Elbow and Tinie Tempah, James Blake, PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi, Metronomy have also been shortlisted for the award. The remaining nominees are Everything Everything, Katy B, Gwilym Simcoc, Ghostpoet and King Cresote & John Hopkins.
In order to be eligible to receive a nomination, the album must have been released over the past 12 months. The 2011 winner will be unveiled at a ceremony in London on September 6.
