Rihanna has paid tribute to a fan who died while listening to her music.
The singer discovered the fan, known only as Karen, had died in a car accident after a Twitter user sent her a message on the micro-blogging website.
Responding to the news, Rihanna said: “One of my biggest RihannaNavy fans died today in a car accident!!! Gone but never EVER forgotten!!!! She was only 17.”
Re-tweeting another user, she then added: “Karen we miss u forever RT @RihannaLVR: :'( RT @RihannaSpanish: Karen's parents told me that she died listening "The Last Song" off Rated R.”
Rihanna is currently performing at venues across America on the US leg of her Loud world tour.
