Seven more days have passed by, meaning that Gigwise has to round up the best bits of the week into bite sized chunks to digest just how you like it.

The Gallagher brothers are at it again, this time with Noel claiming that his latest track, entitled 'The Death Of You And Me' is not about his brother and ex-bandmate Liam, and in turn Liam was seen getting into trouble over his latest clothing line for Manchester City FC.

Elsewhere Robbie Williams was at the centre of Take That having to cancel their live shows this week after a bout of food poisoning. Later in the week Robbie returned to the news columns with rumours that he is planning on relaunching his solo career once the Take That tour's over.

In other news Lady Gaga was told off by Bette Midler on Twitter, and PJ Harvey has been confirmed as the bookmakers' current favourite in the running for the Mercury Prize award after the nominations were announced this week.

The week also featured new music from Blink-182, Bjork and Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jarvis Cocker received an honorary award from the University Of The Arts, London, and George Michael and Jeremy Clarkson had a rather public spat on Twitter.

See all this and even more musical gossip and news in the gallery below.
