Lady Gaga Talks Amy Winehouse, Drugs, 'You And I' On The View

Lady Gaga spoke about Amy Winehouse's recent death during her appearance on US show The View.

The singer paid tribute to the singer after she passed (July 24) saying she had 'changed pop music forever'.

On her recent appearance on The View, she spoke again about Winehouse's death: ''I'm just so devastated and so sad. I really couldn't speak for 48 hours straight I was in such shock.

''The thing that we can learn from this is how the media spin things 'that we can learn from Amy's death'. I don't feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar. Everybody was so hard on her.''

Speaking about dealing with fame, she added: ''It's a very lonely life. But I think that's what part of what we love about her. You can't have it both ways, you can't enjoy listening to someone singing sad songs about the blues and heartbreak and the not expect them to be truly heartbroken.''

Lady Gaga also went on to say that she no longer takes any hard drugs but "is a little part of the green club sometimes".
