Katy Perry Set To Equal Michael Jackson US Chart Record

Katy Perry is on course to equal Michael Jackson's record of five number ones from the same album on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

The singer has already achieved the feat with current single 'Last Friday Night (TGIF)' on the Pop Songs Chart.

But she will match Jackson's record if the song tops the Hot 100 as expected on Thursday (August 4).

All of Jackson's singles came from hs 1987 album 'Bad', while Perry's success has come with her recent album 'Teenage Dream'.

'Last Friday Night (TGIF)' is Perry's seventh number one single in the US. Her friend Rihanna holds the record with eight.
