Kanye West and Jay-Z's joint album 'Watch The Throne' has gone straight in at number one on the US Billboard Hot 200 album chart.
The album sold 436,000 copies in its opening weeks, earning the second-biggest opening sales week of the year, Nielsen SoundScan reports.
Only Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' sold more copies with 1.1million.
In a huge endorsement for digital downloads, 'Watch The Throne' sold 321,000 copies through downloads alone.
The album was initially only available via iTunes music store from last Monday (August 8), but was opened up to physical retailers on August 12.
The rap duo have been commended for preventing the album leaking ahead of release.
