Noel Gallagher has admitted that he is fan of Mumford & Sons and says he wished he'd written their hit 'The Cave'.
The singer, who releases his debut solo album next month, said he admires Marcus Mumfords' vocals.
I haven't heard anything that sounds as good as that. I don't mind them. A lot of f*cking people hate them in England. I think it's the waistcoat and facial hair. I don't mind them. I think that guy's got a good voice... I wish had written that song. That's the biggest compliment I can pay whoever wrote that, Gallagher told Rolling Stone.
As previously reported on Gigwise, brother Noel Gallagher had slammed Mumford & Sons: They look like f*cking Amish people. You know, them ones with the big sideys that don't use electricity? Growing their own food and putting barns up. I need music to be a bit more sexy and played by people who look a bit f*cking dangerous."
Meanwhile, Gallagher has already recorded another album with Amorphous Androgynous, which is due to be released in 2012.
