David Beckham has allegedly formed a close friendship with raucous rapper Snoop Dogg.

The Sun claims Snoop called the football megastar and the pair have been exchanging text messages ever since. Beckham has said in the past that he is a hip-hop fan.

As usual, a totally authentic source told the paper: "Beckham was blown away when Snoop called for the first time because he's a big rap fan.

"He didn't believe it was really Snoop. But they've kept in touch. They have posted each other gifts - like signed shirts and albums."

Fingers crossed there's no collaboration, then.
