DJ Mehdi Died After 'Falling Through Glass Ceiling'

DJ Mehdi died after falling through a plexiglass mezzanine in his home, according to reports.

The 34-year-old French producer was found dead at his home on Tuesday (September 13).

Details of his death have yet to be confirmed, although TMZ reports that Mehdi was killed after the mezzanine collapsed. Three others were taken to hospital.

The DJ was thought to be celebrating the birthday of fellow producer and his Carte Blanche DJ partner Rioton. It is not known whether Riton was among those hurt.

DJ Mehdi, real name Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, worked with the likes of Chromeo, Daft Punk and Cassius.

Tributes have been paid from stars including Drake, Annie Mac and Chromeo.
