Paul McCartney Wedding: Beatles Star Asked To Turn Music Down At Reception

Sir Paul McCartney was told to turn the volume of the music down at his wedding reception following a complaint from neighbours.

The former Beatle was celebrating his marriage to Nancy Shevell at his North-west London home on Sunday (October 9) when Westminster Council received a complaint at 1:30am.

Officers were despatched to Sir Paul's home, where the problem was rectified, reports BBC News.

Andrew Ralph, the council's head of noise and licensing, said: "The volume was reduced on request. No further action is being taken."

As previously reported on Gigwise, hundreds of fans gathered outside Old Marylebone Town Hall on Sunday to watch the happy couple emerge as husband and wife.

Guests at the reception included Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and supermodel Kate Moss.
