Cher Lloyd has slammed Robbie Williams' failed music career in America as she revealed her future plans to crack the US.

The former X Factor contestant criticised the Take That singer during a pess trip as she gears up for the release of her debut album next month.

''America is something I’m going to do,' she told the Sunday Mirror. 'But I want to do well out there. I’ve got big dreams. Even though I’ve achieved this, there’s so much more I want to do, Lloyd told the Sunday Mirror.

She added: 'America is such a big thing to try and do. If I did try and do it I don’t want to be rejected. I want to be the one to succeed and make it work. I’m no ­Robbie Williams.'

Meanwhile, Robbie Williams has confirmed plans for his new solo album.

The singer, who rejoined Take That last year for a new album and tour, will release his ninth solo album next autumn after signing a new record deal with Universal Music.
