Blur frontman Damon Albarn has teamed up with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Tony Allen to assemble a new band, named 'Rocketjuice And The Moon'.
The band made their live debut at London's Barbican this Saturday (October 29).
Speaking about the new project, Albarn told the Irish Times: “Someone in Lagos did the sleeve design and that’s the name he gave it, which suits me because trying to find a name for another band is always tricky.
This is not the first supergroup Albarn has put together, forming 'The Good, The Bad And The Queen' in 2006 with The Clash's Paul Simonon, Simon Tong and Tony Allen once again.
Rocketjuice And The Moon have confirmed their self-titled debut is due during the next year
The tracks released include 'Here We Go', 'Dolo Mbife', 'Damn', 'The Moon', 'Red Skies' and 'Put It Out'.
