Dr Conrad Murray has been placed on suicide watch in prison following his guilty verdict earlier this week, according to reports.
The LA Times reports that the decision was made by a judge just hours after Murray was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of the late Michael Jackson on Monday (November 7).
The newspaper claim that an anonymous law enforcement source had told them that Murray was placed on suicide watch at the LA County Jail, where he has been remanded in custody and will remain until he is sentenced on November 29.
Conrad is expected to face up to four years in prison and lose his license to practise medicine.
The jury, who reached a unanimous decision, deliberated throughout the day on Friday and most of this morning before reaching their verdict.
