Michael Buble has blasted Simon Cowell for 'killing' his confidence during his appearance on American Idol in 2007.

The singer revealed how the X Factor boss snubbed his performance of 'Call Me Irresponsible.'

In an interview with the Radio Times, Buble said: "The first thing I saw when I got on stage was Simon. I sang about four lines and he looked at me and [rolled his eyes] and that was it, I was done. It killed me. My confidence dropped.

"Maybe Cheryl Cole gets a little quiet and more demure when she loses her confidence. But I become aloof. I get the attitude of, 'Oh really? Well, f*ck you. You don't like me? Then go f*ck yourself. I'm just gonna do whatever'."

Coldplay, Michael Buble and Jessie J are lined-up to duet with this year's X Factor contestants in the live final, it has been reported.

The live finals will this year take place at Wembley Arena on December 10-11.
