The Killers have said they will “definitely” be releasing a new album in 2012.
Singer Brandon Flowers told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe that the band had already recorded some songs, including a track called 'Battleborn', but fans will have to wait until at least the summer to hear it.
The Las Vegas band haven't released an album since 2008's Day & Age, though fans were able to get their Flowers fix with his 2010 debut solo album titled Flamingo.
The frontman has admitted that he loves playing with the band again, but it's taking some getting used to.
"It's just exciting getting everyone in the room to make some noise," he said. "It's quite a bit louder than with my solo thing, so I've got to get used to that."
Flowers said: "We don't want to make Hot Fuss 2 or Sam's Town 2, or Day & Age 2. We'll maybe take all that stuff, the best of all of it and do what we know how to do.”
