The U2-scored musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, has broken Broadway to become the highest single-week gross of any show in Broadway history.
The musical as grossed almost $3m over nine performances last week, which has broken the previous record held by Wicked, which grossed $2.2 million (£1.4 million) over eight shows in 2011.
Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark is rumoured to be the most expensive musical in history, costing an estimated $70 million (£48 million).
The new version of the show focus' on the love story between Peter Parker and Mary Jane and their battle with the Green Goblin.
U2's Bono and The Edge have also written new songs for the revamped production which has been nine years in the making.
