Don't piss off Adele's fans seems to be something that fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld is learning fast.
Lagerfeld has been criticised after he labelled singer Adele as a 'little too fat' - he only seems to know the anorexic types.
In a no holds barred interview the fashion designer quickly backtracked to add that she has a 'beautiful face'.
Asked my The Metro what he thinks of Lana Del Rey, Lagerfeld replied: ''I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad.The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.''
Gigwise readers have now responded to Lgerfeld's comments over Facebook and Twitter.
David Gibbs, wrote: Perhaps someone should point out how 'foolish' Lagerfeld looks?!
Rosie Small added: ''At least she doesn't look like a ball sack like he does.''
Meanwhile, thanks to the likes of Adele, Jessie J and Coldplay British artists dominated the album market in 2011, according to new figures.
Adele and Coldplay ensured that British acts accounted for 52.7% of UK album sales next year, an increase from 2010's figure of 48.9% research carried out by the British Phonographic Industry found.
Even though the London singer has had phenomenal success with second album '21' the BPI still claims that British artists would still have racked up their biggest share of the market since 2007, with a total of 56 of 2012's top 100 albums coming from UK acts.
