Following her triumphant win at this year's Grammy Awards, Adele has announced plans to take a five year break from music.

The London singer, who performed 'Rolling in the Deep' at the awards, picked up six gongs in total, winning every award which she had been nominated for.

Adele joined Beyonce in the record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in one night, which was set by Beyoncé in 2010.

She told US Vogue magazine :  'I am f*cking off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail.

'So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy.

'And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch.'

Adele will perform for the first time in the UK since her throat surgery at next week's BRIT Awards.
