- Watch Coldplay - Fix You
Coldplay have reportedly bottled out of a singles chart battle with Oasis.
The two giants were due to release their respective new singles on the same day – which would have undoubtedly sparked the kind of tabloid rivalry war not seen since Oasis vs. Blur in 1995.
Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ has now been put back until mid-September, while Oasis’ ‘The Importance of Being Idle’ is scheduled for release in late August.
A totally authentic insider, told the Star: “Coldplay have moved ‘Fix You’ back to a September release because their current single ‘Speed of Sound’ is still getting such great airplay on the radio.
“I’m sure they are aware that Oasis were due to release on the same day, but that probably didn’t affect their decision.”
Coldplay have filmed the video for ‘X & Y’ during their two shows at Bolton Reebok Stadium this week. The band performed the touching set closer twice to gain enough footage for the vid.
