James Corden has admitted that he was furious with ITV bosses for forcing him to cut short Adele's acceptance speech at this year's BRIT Awards.

Corden was instructed by ITV bosses to end Adele's speech for winning 'British Album' prize for 21, as Blur were due to perform.

"I can't believe that's what they were asking me to do. I delayed for 15 seconds. I was furious and put in a horrible position,'' Corden told to The Sun.

"I went straight to Adele's dressing room and she was fine with me, but really upset. She had a speech and had a list of people she wanted to thank."

Speaking during the press conference after, she said: ''I was cut off during my speech but I wanted to thank the British public for all their support. I was held up with my voice and troubles but the album kept walking without me.

I flipped the bird for the suits at the BRITS who cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans.’

The singer's second album '21' beat off competition from the likes of PJ Harvey, Ed Sheeran, Florence And The Machine and Coldplay.
