George Michael could be set to record a duet with Adele, according to reports.

According to The Mirror, Michael, who is currently working on his new album, is keen to work with Adele on a number of the tracks.

A source told the newspaper: George is working on his album for the first time since his life-threatening illness and he's in great shape. It is no secret that he adores Adele.

Adding: "He even left his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz in Australia for three days while he flew in to present Adele with her Brit. Adele has been an admirer of George's tunes for as long as she can remember, and was so touched that George presented her [with her] Brit Award."

George Michael cancelled his December tour after falling ill and was ordered by doctors to stay in hospital in Vienna.

He told fans over Twitter that the tour will probably take place later this year and may include previously unheard songs.
