British guitar music has taken a commercial thrashing in recent years, and the once great British guitar scene is no longer the all-conquering monster is once was.
Where once great guitar bands reigned supreme in the Top Ten, these days the singles chart is full of grinning, fresh-faced X Factor contestants and American 'hip-hop' so far removed from it's roots that Tupac and The Notorious BIG are most definitely in a better place right now.
But all is not lost. Not by a long shot. The flag of British indie is still being flown by countless young bands, but can the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Tribes, Miles Kane or Spector put it back on the map where it belong?
